Writing Award

The Imprint Writing Award was launched to help encourage and support emerging Ayrshire writers. Author and Imprint Patron Zoë Strachan, along with her colleagues at the Edwin Morgan School for Creative Writing at Glasgow University, will be judging the award. Winners will be announced at the writing awards presentation on Thursday 10th November.

The Award is open to adults based in Ayrshire with entries in the format of flash fiction-500 words on the theme of "5" (we are celebrating our 5th Imprint festival), with a maximum of 3 entries per person. All works should be previously unpublished.

Closing date for entries is Saturday 8th October. Entry forms are available from any library in East Ayrshire.

First prize: £250, and 4 runner-ups prizes of £50 each. All entries are judged anonymously.
