Our fantastic Imprint festival finalé kicks off with readings from critically acclaimed Kilmarnock author and Imprint patron William McIlvanney. William, along with Zoë Strachan, will be presenting the winners of our Fiction Writing Award with their prizes.
Billy Kay, Rod Paterson, Derek Hoy & Norman Chalmers - O Aw the Airts
What better way to round off the evening and the festival - join us for this selection of songs, stories, tunes and poems from the great Scots tradition at home and abroad.
Billy Kay, writer, television and radio broadcaster and passionate advocate of Scottish culture, is joined by singer Rod Paterson (widely recognised as the foremost male traditional singer in Scotland), and fellow members of Jock Tamson’s Bairns, Derek Hoy and Norman Chalmers.
Inspired by Billy Kay’s 2006 book The Scottish World - A Journey into the Scottish Diaspora, we present an evening of music and verse which has been specially adapted for this unique performance and which will compliment the venue beautifully.
